Painting on Silk
In contrast to her figurative watercolours on paper, Elisabeth also paints freely from floral subjects onto silk. Roses, peonies, lillies and many other flowers have been delicately painted on scarves of finest georgette, crêpe de Chine or habitai silk, as well as bold abstracts of huge poppies and hibiscus in strong, striking colours.
